cleaning in the new year

Over my past few days off I have taken the time to clean up and purge some unused items as well as getting around to using a few things I had stored away, like this lovey sugar bowl. I don't really use sugar except for baking but my friend sent me over some amazing smelling and tasting vanilla sugar from cadeaux bakery. It gave my a damn good reason to break out the vintage. It is lovely in tea I will have to try and infuse my own after I run out.

I try and color code my closet every few months and it seems nearly impossible for me to put an item back where I found it. Doing this on new years makes it pretty easy to make any fashion resolutions. Mine every year is not not buy black and obviously by looking at my closet I buy black. This is very odd to me since I quite dislike wearing black and I usually change if I feel I am wearing too much of it. Maybe this year I will stick to that resolution!
